I’m Katy

 

I’m the owner and photographer behind Gait & Glory Photography. Named from my love of dogs and horses, inspired by their movement and the joy of competing together. Even if sports aren’t your focus, having a dog you love feels like the biggest win in the world.


I grew up going to dog shows when I was younger, and I started photographing dogs during the 2015/2016 dog-instagram era with my first Giant Schnauzer. Now, I spend my weekends showing my current Giant Schnauzer in conformation and photographing the weekends we aren’t in the ring.


What started as a dream and a hobby has since grown into Gait & Glory.

I was born and raised in the Midwest and moved to the desert in 2011, splitting the years between Chicago and Phoenix.

A Journey of Passion


My photography journey began in 2008, driven by curiosity and a love for storytelling through images. While I dreamed of weddings early on, I found my true calling in capturing the bond between dogs, horses, and their people. Self-taught through trial and error, and inspired by my Giant Schnauzer, Hossa, my work reflects years of dedication and growth in a craft I truly love.
